I thank my mom for teaching me to crochet. But I thank Craftster for teaching me how to run with scissors or color outside the lines or whatever other analogy fits the embellishing and making patterns my own that I enjoy. I bookmarked this afghan

yearrrrrrrs ago, but just last summer it became my go-to pattern for baby girls. I think it works up so sweet this way. And I wish you could see how sparkly this white is. I've shared the pattern with several people and have even taken a crack at making it easier to follow. When I test those changes (hopefully in a longer, narrower version as a wrap for myself) I will be certain to pay it forward here on Craftster.
This is the most recent version made for my husband's coworker's little girl who is due this month. Happy birthday to her and to Craftster!!!!!

I love that your mom passed down the tradition of crocheting to you...you have taken off on your own now!

What a lovely blanket!  The white between the colors is really very nice!

There are a lot of lucky babies to have one of your beautifully crafted afghans...

Good luck in the challenge!

This is lovely! I like the color choices, and just the overall look of the finished blanket. The multi-colored edging is a very nice touch.
