That is just beautiful. I may have to break my "no afghans" rule. Smiley (which exists only because I don't do well with large projects)

Thank you for sharing the pictures but thank you also for sharing your stories. Crochet may be lonely but you are not alone in using it to get through times like this (I speak from experience here Smiley ) and both the crochet and the sharing can ease some of the pain of loss that you're going through. I hope things get better for you soon.

What an amazing project!  Definitely had to hit "this rocks!"

Crocheting can be such a calming, peaceful hobby.  I put it right up there with my gardening & writing in having miracle powers to bleed off anxiety and depression.

That is amazing! Well done for following it so well. I can't do tunisian, yet.
Thank-you, also for putting the image of the back - I always wonder what backs look like in cross-stitch, and other projects.

I am so sorry for all the grief you have gone through in such a short amount of time. My parents both passed within 2 months of each other last year and I am still grieving. I hope you are faring well. Hang in there and crochet! Hugs and more hugs. and BTW the afghan is gorgeous.

I'm late in commenting on this, but it just so fantastic that I had to say so.  I hope things get better for you and your family, so often things seem to come in groups like your story.
