Just trying something different at clay class.  I cut strips in varying widths (some curved), wove them & shaped them over a mold.  Thought I might use it as a bread basket or fruit bowl---Then I gave it away.

    I really like how you kept the individual strips from squishing together when you put them over the mold.  I haven't done any woven clay pieces (not that I can remember, anyway), but the ones I see at my studio tend to look a little smushed.  That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I love yours.
