What does Craftster mean to me?

When I first discovered Craftster years ago (I think 2006) I was already a lifelong crafter, but I had never seen the types of crafts they were showing.  These were crafts made with traditional methods but made with modern, fun and often "nerdy" themes.  I was blown away.  "You mean, all crafts don't have to look like grandma's made them?" I thought.  Craftster really clued me in so that I could be part of this new generation of homemade fun that really fit into our lives.  I've tried many crafts over the years, but I think this quilt I recently made, my first attempt at the very traditional needle-turn appliqu method, shows best what Craftster means to me.

This is so much fun. It reminds me of a poster I saw on pinterest, "Home is where the Wi-Fi connects automatically"

"Home is where the Wi-Fi connects automatically"

This is such a cute quote.  I made the quilt for a friend with a tiny dog named WiFi and I bet if I could make it manly enough he would dig that quote on a sign.

I'll add it to the project queue!
