I'm trying to get better at sewing, so I've made a point to start properly drafting patterns, adding the seam allowance, doing linings, etc. This dress pattern I made and am in love with (besides the fact that it makes me look a little flat chested, but whatever), and have been pumping out dresses since I've been on vacation with my sewing machines. I'm thinking of dubbing it the Sundae dress, since I want to name my patterns for fun, and my SO suggested dessert names. Tongue

Anyway, enough rambling, dresses!

Thanks to my SO for getting up at the crack of dawn to take pictures for me. (His photoblog is 3ark.ca Smiley)

Awkward bathroom selfie..

And I don't have a picture of this one yet, but it's more of the same, hah.

Now I need to learn how to grade patterns, any advice for this? I've mostly seen people doing the cut and spread method on blogs, but is that the best way to go about it?

These are great!  Fit and flare is my favorite style and I love the fabric you chose for them Smiley

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Wow! This is a cute style of dress! No wonder you love it! It translates the feeling of the different fabrics used so well!
