Welcome!  We'd love to see your needlework!

Here's a link to an explanation of how to post photos here.  Until you have a total of ten posts, a moderator will help you with changing a photo link to an image.  http://www.craftster.org/craftsterguide.html#anchor5b

This is the beginning of the name plate for my friend. It's the first time I've used aida cloth that tiny. I hope it turns out OK!

This is for my gardening mom. It's going to say "If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden" - The Secret Garden. I am enjoying using the variegated thread.

This is my latest doodle sewing art piece I made for my notebook blinder cover. It's a mermaid sitting on the rocks with the city behind her.

HPC Rainbow owl sleeping mask.

wow--that is some tiny aida cloth!  I admire stitching since it is not one of my best skills! Can't wait to see the finished project...and be sure to cross post in Neddlework for all to see!

ha--the rainbow owl sleep mask looks so fun...I would have to warn hubs if I wore it or else he might have a heart attack... ha ha

I must say that I am quite impressed by the talent of all who dwell here!

CraftyLadyMJ--I like your mermaid!

Im on vacation this week and my goal has been to finish 3 projects. 3 down, 2 in the hopper, 1 to startDang, dont tell my boss I've been productive. He may expect more at work!!!

The project Im super, duper excited about is this Disappearing 9 Patch lap quilt!!! I learned how to do it from this tutorial by MareMare: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=422253.0#axzz2dgUNUHtM

Here it is in all my imperfected glory! I still have some things to learn about quilting but I am much happier with this quilting attempt than all my others.

Second down was trying to do some canning. Since June our 1 green and 2 yellow zucchini plants have produced about 25-30 zucchiniscant give them away anymore! I learned to read, read, read and reread directions for canning. I am so happy they seem to be working. The lids are indented!!! SO here is some zucchini relish.

Third project was a no brainer but Im counting it anyways cause its my vacation and I can do what I want to! Simple oatmeal craisin/raisin cookies for my Hubby. He is on vacation this week too and went for a motorcycle trip and wanted some snacks. So there you have it!

So this is how I spent my summer vacation...

I decided to make a new one and actually use it this time thanks to Pintrest LOL.
I figured this would be the best place to start posting.
