I am currently working on this cross stitch from a pattern in the latest cross stitcher magazine. I have probably worked on it for 15 hours so far and still have a zig zag background to work on as well as finishing the dark green outline.

Wow!  It's going to be fantastic.  Is the background grid part of the cloth or is it something you added to help with such an intricate pattern?

Cross-stitch requires so much patience but the results are worth it! Keep it up - it's looking great so far. That pattern is really cool.

Hi all!! I've been crafting for about 13 years now, but only just found this forum and decided to join!! I love the idea of a newbies board to be able to give a little idea of what we can contribute! These are some of the things I've worked on within the last year or so...

I'm trying to better my sewing skills...

I play with perlers...

I recently made an origami paper flower bouquet...

I play with polymer clay on occasion..

I've gotten a little into needle felting...

I've mostly done jewelry making though since I was 12 and my grandma taught me, some recent pieces are...

Basically, if it's crafty, I've tried it or want to!! I also have done some loom knitting, candle making, scrapbooking, painting, ATCs, and have eyed some other crafts... particularly miniatures intrigue me...

I can't wait to share the other projects I come up with and become more a part of this awesome community!!

Wow!! I've thought about trying cross-stitch every now and then, but couldn't ever think of a good enough project that would keep me entertained lol!! I love this though and can't wait to see it done!! So awesome!!
