I have been on here lots of years, but still consider myself somewhat of a Craftster Newbie. Not that I am new to crafts...just this site. And I learn new things here everyday. All over the boards.  Wink

Loving what I am seeing.  Roll Eyes Shocked Roll Eyes

Interesting jewelry, lovely hollow dictionary books. And if your dragons are what I have seen Alex...don't give it up! Just take a rest and step back into it later... ever hear of fondant? Similar to clay, but you can make neat cake and cupcake details there. Just the icing on the cake  Cheesy And tasty!

Those wire wrapped keys are fantastic!

Kudos to TiffanyCrow for encouraging her friend to show off those beauties!

What will you do with the hollowed out books?  Will you use them to make hidden scenes?  I always thought that would be fun...put them back on the bookshelf for people to find when they browse through your books...

Glad you wandered in SOS. Very cute projects you have been working on. A cute baby, too.
I like your lettering skills with your drawings. And your shading is really nice with your paper arts.
My daughter was into the duct tape thing. It was one of the only crafts that I could get her to happily do.
Have you seen the roses they do with that?

Yup. These boards run quick. It is hard to keep up with everything. And still have time to play art.  Grin

make sure you watch the 6 year old! She is too cute on making the duct tape rose pen

Hi, I'm very new to Craftster and a little overwhelmed by the magnitude of the site.  It's a little difficult to know where to jump in, but this appears to be the perfect spot.

I pretty much limit myself to crafts made using waste materials, which I have found to not be much of a limit at all really. My husband gives me worried looks whenever there's something on tv about hoarding, but I couldn't possibly be a hoarder.  I throw out masses of craft supplies every day!

Here are some examples of my work:

Firstly, a basket woven with plarn (frame is made with plastic bottles.

My children's Easter bonnets for their parade.

And a couple of log cabin collages that I'm still working on.

Really looking forward to getting know some other crafters on here 'cause I don't know ANY in real life.

From what you've shown, your work is AMAZING!

And you know what...Craftster may seem HUGE, but it's really just a small, supportive community of really great people!  Cheesy

Welcome!
