Seeing the insides decorated makes me want to create a bunch of inchie rooms (cube with one side open) that you could stack to build a doll house kind of thing. My little cousins would have fun with something like that.

That is a brilliant idea!

The doily hill needs to be explained...it is fabulous!!!  So creative...

Here is a pic of the doily.

I took an antique doily and soaked it in watered down glue, then dried it over a shot glass for forming. I then painted it black.
Here is a pic of the wee person who goes with that set-up

That is the day my camera broke, so all I have is a lousy phone pic. She is made of a matchstick head, seed bead eyes, a sewn thread mouth, embroidery floss hair, duct tape dress, stocking scarf. She holds a thistle leaf in her hand to look fierce, guarding the house.

Okay, was eaten by the holidays more than I thought would happen. As I try to catch up, I apologize if I miss anyone.
I like the I-house. Its an interesting mix of creepy and whimsical.
The mini-gingerbread house is just adorable!
Im a big fan of Emily Dickenson, so naturally I think the Dickenson house is very cool. The little white and black one is also cute.

All the new houses are lovely with all the tiny details: bunting, opening door, guard... I especially like their roofs with 3D or each tile its own color.

Okay, I think I've finally figured this all out. So, Im starting with my first house to receive, the one from Teag, which I think of as my little mini castle. Smiley

When I first opened my envelope, this is what awaited me. Isnt the holder just ingenious?

Heres what the house looks like when completed. Arent the front door and little window just adorable?

I love the little picture frames she put in for windows on each side. Totally made my day when I saw those!

Finally theres the back of the house and another one of those awesome handmade windows.

Next we move on to the house made my Allwaysinmyroom. Surprise, surprise, I loved it! Its got a nice little sea side theme. First, she made me this pretty little case to protect the house in the mail.

Next we have a close up of the sea shell walk way she made. Yes, those are real sea shells. How cool is that?!

Heres the front of the house once its all assembled. Isnt it gorgeous?

Heres what the right side looks like. Notice the awesome wave roof she made? I thought that was a perfect addition.

Yes thats another real sea shell. I also want to point out the hand painted scallop edging.

I have to say this is my favorite side. Why is that? Its because I simply adore watching Koi swim around in their pond. Its so serene, and I love having that incorporated into the house. Its like Alwaysinmyroom is psychic!

those tiny frames as windows are just the cutest!!

Teag does a nice job using tiny poly...such a great dimensional addition to the paper houses!

L2E--yeah--those tiny shells have been in my stash forever...finally got to use a small portion of them...I see lots of seaside houses in my future to use up at least a teaspoon of shells! Grin

I just pressed the 'images only' button and gloried in all of the ideas I now have for MORE MORE MORE inchie houses.  The variety of materials that folks snuck in on top of paper has me drooling.

The stone house has exquisite walls and a lovely round opening.

The seaside cottage is charming with the tiny real sea shells.
