I made this little guy after getting frustrated with my earphones going crazy in my bag. Since I have a lot of felt, I decided to mainly use that. He only took me under 15 minutes to make (maybe even 10).

What I used:

I already had everything (brown felt, tan felt, hot glue gun, scissors, and googly eyes) except the velcro circle stickers (actually called hook and loop fasteners). I purchased the velcro circle stickers at the dollar store.

I also have a template I drew out to make cutting out the shapes easier. I do have it up on my blog here: http://www.nonachewy.blogspot.com/2013/08/diy-animal-earphone-holder-pt-1-monkey.html

First, I cut out all of the necessary shapes. Then I just placed them accordingly and glued them down. The only hard part was cutting out the eyebrows and mouth from the fuzzy velcro because it had adhesive on the back, but other than that everything was pretty simple. Mr. Monkey really does do a great job at keeping my earphones in check LOL. I also made him some friends:

Mr. Polar Bear, Mr. Duck, and Mr. Hippo! They have to deal with my other cords  Wink

This is such an adorably clever idea! My headphone cords are always in a giant knot. I could definitely use something like this to keep things more organized.

Mr. Hippo is my favorite!!
