I just finished this last week.  I bought two yards of this fabric when I was in California earlier this year, but I was never sure what I could do with it since it's not a whole lot.  I figured if I made the skirt tiered I could still get a full skirt out of it.  I had just enough left over to make a headband (which I forgot to photograph, oops!) and a few small scraps.

To make this I took the top half of an empire waisted princess seam pattern, added the lace up detail, and made the skirt with rectangular tiers.  It's hard to tell in the pics, I couldn't get a good close up, but the tiers are folded over on the top to make a narrow ruffle, and the seams are covered up with trim.

That turned out so cute! And great problem solving going for the tiered skirt Smiley

Thank you!  I was afraid I still would be a little short, especially since the fabric had a tiny flaw I needed to work around, but I think it's a good length.

Scholars and artists...differ most importantly in the way their knowledge is come by.  Scholars get theirs with conscientious thoroughness along projected lines of logic; poets...stick to nothing deliberately, but let what will stick to them like burrs where they walk in the fields.

Thank you!  I haven't gotten a chance to wear it yet, I'm waiting for it to cool off a little bit because I think it will look better with tights than short socks.

Thank you!  I do have a lot of posters, I've mostly run out of wall space for them!
