I've never been the first to receive and post before. Whoo hoo! Thanks, That1girl! You're a real speed demon. First up a group shot of my goodies. The strings on the left are bookmarks that were made from the scraps.

Then a close-up of my FQs and the paisley design paper she sent. I love paisley and already have several ideas for what to do with this paper. And I can never have too much purple. As for the white tone-on-tone, the quilt block swap rd 4 calls for several off-white backgrounds, so I may use some of this FQ for those blocks.

Next the zippered pouch which is a great size to use. I stuffed it with 6 pairs of socks to puff it out for the photo, so it holds quite a bit.

Then the surprise - the bag is reversible, so look what That1girl embroidered on it.

Isn't she just the sassiest girl you've ever seen? Makes me laugh and reminds me of the time in my twenties when I tried very unsuccessfully to learn how to belly dance and how to play the guitar.

Looks like I'd better get busy and finish yours, That1girl. Thanks again!

Has anyone ever done a magnetic closure?  Not like a magnetic snap, but more like magnets hidden in the fabric.  I can't find anything at the craft store short of buying magnet sheets and cutting pieces, but I'm not sure those would be strong enough.

If anyone gets what I'm trying to do (I'm having a hard time explaining it) and has advice let me know.

Oh frickety frick frick!  The tutorial I bookmarked for one of my main projects is now gone.  "Sorry, the blog at ____ has been removed."  You HAVE to be kidding me!

I wondered about using the extra-strong magnets from the craft store for the same purpose... I was contemplating doing something reversible that would be all the better with a closure, and that's the best my feeble brain has come up with so far...

You could check out the hardware store.  I think you could find strong, small, round magnets there.  Good luck.

I received lovelies from halblingefrau today!  Lookie!  An adorable lined bag with pleats and an interior pocket in muslin and beautiful blues!  She also sent some matching fabric covered buttons and a gorgeous handmade card.  Thank you so very much, halblingefrau!  I appreciate your lovely work!

Group shot - just how adorable are those fat quarters?  Love the sewing motif:

And an interior shot of that beautiful lining and the pocket:

Very nice bag, but I almost like the card more! Can tell I'm a papercrafter, too, can't you? That sewing fabric is going to be such fun to play with. Like the interior pocket on the bag - - - some place to drop the little things that often get lost in the bottom of a bag.
