I always thought it would be fun to have a climbing wall in the backyard Wink we used 4 sheets of pressure treated plywood and 2x4's , kept the height under 7 feet so there wasn't an issue with height/falling. Painted the wall and sealed it then we used the company atomic climbing holds for screw on holds and then used exterior grade screws for putting them on the wall Smiley

details to build the wall are here http://www.impatientlycrafty.com/2013/05/07/diy-backyard-climbing-wall/but just wanted to share my finished pictures as the tutorial is stupid long LOL! (oh the painting we did based off of just a silhouette of our city.. Seattle!)

if you do decide to build happy to answer any questions ;

What a great idea.  The mural looks great and the kids seem to be having a ball.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

I love that you painted a skyline.  It makes it look like the kids are climbing up skyscrapers!
