I wasn't really sure which board this should go on but oh well...
I made some little flapper heads.





I thought they were kinda fun. I was heavily influenced by the Creative Breathing Blog the way she does her birds.

Awww...so sweet...perfect expression!

I have a wooden darning tool/gizmo from the '20's with a very similar face.  I got it as a gift when I was in Jr Hi (40+ yrs ago) and it has always been special to me.

Oh, your darning tool sounds awesome. I love old vintage-y things. It's cool to think mine came out similar to something from that age. I'm working on some ornaments with the same kind of look to use this christmas.  Smiley

oh, the heads are styrofoam covered in paper clay and then painted. The head pieces are sequins and felt and the head band of the one on the right is tissue paper.
