I was commissioned to do a set of paintings showing the adventures of a little girl and her monster friend. I have two finished and have started on the third...and I may be a little stuck. They are going to be reading books together, but I am having a hard time deciding on the background. I think I may add a tree? But this third canvas is the smallest of the three (they stagger down in size) and I don't know if I want to try to put that much in such a small painting.

How adorable!  I love the bright colors.  Monster looks like he's almost too big for his chair.  Smiley

Nice... when it comes to reading, there is always a tree around. But you have moved away from that concept. This background matches the blue monster. Nice thinking.
