Made some changes to my kitchen recently. Nothing huge, cause in some pictures you may not even be able to see the difference.  Cheesy

*Had stainless steel sink put in the island
*Granite counters all around
*Added a bank of cabinets, and sink to the corner
*Backsplash of marble subway tiles (This is the part I did) Smiley
*added convection oven/vent over stove

When we were going through the process we kept in mind that at some point we may sell the house. So that is why the backsplash is tile and not some wild mosaic. Which is what I wanted to do. Grin

Here are the pics:
Before:
*note no vent; no backsplash except Formica, notice white Corian sink

Rip out:

No cabinet:

Cabinet & Sink:

Backsplash Install and grout:

Finished Kitchen:

Loving the changes, even though they appear the same. The granite is so nice to prepare food on, especially bread dough for challahs. The Formica we had was dull and this is nice and slick. The new cabinet and sink make a big difference, too.

Thank you for reading allllllll this! Comments and Questions always welcome. Smiley

Beautiful! It seems like you made both great design changes but also really functional updates! Everything looks nice with your grey cabinets.

Did you do the backsplash yourself?

very nice!  it definitely updated the look of your kitchen...and the extra sink (plus more countertop space) was a great addition!
