kittykill had the brilliant idea to do a sideshow swap and now that my partner has received, I wanna do it again!! Anyway, I thought that making a wee book (it's 2.5" by 3.5") which had movable parts for all of the sideshow "freaks" would be kinda cool. All was good until I got to the tent topper and the wonderful cackle gave me all kinds of great ideas on how to finish it off. Thanks, cackle!

The front of the book:

It unfolds accordion style. Inside front:

Inside back:

The page where you can comb the Bearded Lady's whiskers:

There's a shrinky dink tattoo gun so you can give the Tattooed Lady some ink:

Paper doll hats for the Pinhead:

The Fat Lady is on a spring so she dances:

Sword Swallower actually swallows his sword (oh man, that sword was hard to find!)

And a few more but I think I'm over-doing it with the pictures.

Edit:
Here's the last few pictures...
Tie Mary Bink's shoes.

Break the Strong man's chain.

The last page on the front side.

The first page on the back side, pointing the way.

The last page of the book.

And finally, Tattoo Lady's itty bitty retro tattoo gun.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you, everyone! This was one of my favourite things I've made this year, mostly because the theme was so enjoyable. I wish I had remembered to put the pictures in order because the text is a little rhyme. Not a good one, mind you, but try rhyming beard with something to do with a sword swallower.  Cheesy

    FEELINGS!  <3 <3

The beard is so great.  I have some facial hair (oh, age and hormones) and I joke that one day I'm just going to stop plucking and join the circus.  The bearded lady is my inspiration!  Wink

I'm a huge carnival/sideshow fan. This speaks to me on so many levels. What kind of paper did you use? The piece is so little that I image heavy card stock would be hard to manipulate...

The front and back covers are foam board and the accordion paper is regular heavyweight card stock, with card stock images glued, glued, glued to it. Lots and lots of glue and several xacto blades! But so much fun.
