I had a lovely Indian patchwork cushion which I loved. Sadly my puppy loved it too and spent an afternoon carfully dismantling the cushion, patch by patch. So I had all these wonderfully ornate embroidered patches and I just couldn't bear to throw them away. So, I used a pair of curtain tie backs as base, I covered them, them sewed and embroidered the patches to them, added details, beads and cabachons, a couple of curtain rings, Indian silk yarn and chain from a local DIY shop, and created this lovely tribal fushion belt.

It turned out beautiful. It would have been a shame to waste something like that ,turning it into a belt was a clever idea.
