My partner received so I want to show the tree I boilded. It is about 1/4 inch thick of sculpey.  I haven't had any problems with it not curing correctly, but if your is more than 1/4 inch I would just boil it longer. I just cannot recommend this method enough. Artista83, please give it a try.

Tree before I glued it in. Just colored with permanent markers.

That pendant's really pretty squidget! Great job with the tree lovesclutter! I've never really tried using polyclay, it looks fun Smiley

I have an idea for measuring your aunt's wrist....
wrap a dollar bill around it, make a mark, then post a picture of it.
The crafter could use that to figure out the best size for the gloves, I think!

I have a question for everyone out there. Would you consider purple to be a gender neutral color? Obviously not something like lavender or something equally pastel and feminine but more of a plum or deep purple.....also the combo of a true orange and dark purple? Girly or neutral?

I'm half way through a tiny human sweater...thing...m y first piece of real clothing! It's not looking so bad so I'm kind of excited...though I think it would take a while for the babe to grow into the thing as it is coming out a bit bigger than wee baby size but that's not bad!

Also I'm curious, do you guys knit in wools for babies? Why or why not? The sweater is done in all soft acrylics and wash-safe wools; I figured it'd probably get dirty and to make it easier on the kiddo's parents they could just throw it in the washer.

All these thoughts I've never really considered until now!

Orange and purple as neutral... hmm, a bit more girly for me I think. maybe if you are adding some grey...
I am not knitting or crocheting, but i am definitely working with wool. Actually, a lot of people allergic for felt, so you never know if a little one is allergic or not.

Actually most allergies are to the chemicals that make the wool isuper wash.

I use acrylic baby yarn for all my nieces projects. Baby's are hard on clothes and toys and it makes the cost cheaper. The only exception would be a keepsake blanket and even those can be in acrylic.

As for the colors purple is currently the popular alternative voice for girls. Many moms are trying to go pink free so purple in all shapes has been labeled girl.

For boys it's blue and green.

It also depends on the shape of the clothing. If it's a bulkier sweater then it would be more gender neural.

Adding Gray would also help to make it more neutral.

Good luck
