It has been a slow lazy summer as far as quilting is concerned.  Mostly because the rest of the summer has been fast and filled.  I had a week at the lake and used some of the rainy days to work on some quilting projects.  This is a FINISH!  It is my entry for the Project Quilting July off-season challenge.  The theme was independence.

The details.  It is approximately 35 x 35 inches.  It is made with quilter's cotton (some of my Kaffe stash) and muslin.  The front is fused, raw-edge, machine stitched applique.  The back is pieced and the binding is scrappy.
There are more pictures on my blog.  http://twasbrilligand.blogspot.com/2013/07/independence.html

Oh my, that is positively scrumptious!   Cheesy  I adore the simplicity of just the bunting on it...it looks like they are blowing gently in the wind   Grin

"OH MY GOD! Pot Smoking!? You know what that leads to?! MUNCHIES! And you know what THAT means: TRANS-FAT. God knows, you don't want your kids getting into THAT."
