For the recent bird swap, I was inspired to make a curiosity cabinet for my partner goatgoddess.  I blame my inspiration on the oddity research I've been doing for the side show swap!   Cheesy

My favorite part is in the tiny bottle in the lower right of the cabinet.  It's a hummingbird feather that we found in our greenhouse.  The little acorn nest is holding beauty berry seeds from our garden. The bird skull is made from poly clay.

This was truly a fun project to make.   Smiley

All the details look wonderful.  Smiley Where did you find the little cabinet? Did you make the bird skull?

I did!  It's made of poly clay.  The cabinet base is the bottom half of one of those $1 dollhouse cubbys you can get at Michaels.  I put it in the microwave to loosen the glue in order to separate the top from the bottom.

This is marvelous. I love that you used found objects from your farm. That makes it extra special. Clever idea with the dollhouse cubby!

You did an amazing job on the skull. Also very smart using the microwave to loosen the glue.

Thanks!  They say Species in Order of Abundance, Number of times Seen and Percent of Abundance.  Across the top of the wood cabinet it says Relative Abundance of Birds in a Region.  I found the most perfect Lost & Found 6x6 paper pad for this project.
