I claim rlynn for Pot holders
Outstanding Claims: 2
Sent (in transit): 0
Received: 0

Hi, Im Reinikka and I currently live in Southern California with my boyfriend and our two crazy dogs

I do a lot of paper crafting (I especially love making journals) and Im getting back into sewing. I just picked up English Paper Piecing, its time consuming but very addictive! I also have a few quilts planned and would love a fabric filled supply package Wink

My favorite colors are green, purple, and earthy tones. I am not a fan of pink or yellow (though mixed with other colors is ok and I do like bright pink with bright orange). If you claim me for anything wearable please check my pintrest for color ideas or feel free to ask me if youre not sure. There are a few things on my list where color/pattern do not matter so dont let this discourage you.

If you make me something with yarn please use only natural fibers (like cotton and wool). I have no allergies unless you plan on sending me bacon or preserved pork. Oh, and I do not have pierced ears, so no earrings please!

I love surprises so please dont feel limited to what I have on my list, check out my pinterest and if anything inspires you please be creative! Cheesy

Big Wishes in Bold!

Crafted:
~ Anything from/inspired by my pintrest Except the For my Future Kids board (I dont actually have any kids yet)

Sewn Items
~ Bill holder I neeeeed one of these! My mail gets buried all the time and it would be wonderful to have a way to keep the bills separate so they get payed on time. Im putting this under sewn items but Im really up for any craft as long as it hangs and holds mail (maybe a hoopla?). Would really love if it said Dont forget! or something (other than bills) on it.
~ Top/Dress like this
~ Clothes! I would really love a handmade wardrobe, please only claim this if you can make high quality since I will be wearing them often. See my pintrest for some ideas and I will provide measurements (Im usually size medium). Even simple comfy tank-tops would be great!

I claim kartiana right back for a fabric supply box.

2/0/0

My name is Robin and I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner Phil and our inquisitive and imaginative 5 year old daughter Aria Jae.  When Im not crafting or hanging out with the family, Im probably teaching, doing research, or attempting to make some progress on my dissertation.  I love fantasy novels and comics, steampunk and gibbous fashions, and boots...I love boots.  A good place to get a feel for my color/pattern/style preferences for fabric is here - http://pinterest.com/rlynn/fabric-love/.    Okay, except for the squirrels, elephants, robots, and skulls (those would be more for my daughter).  But in general I like jewel and earthy tones.  I wear a lot of black, gray, and brown.  My daughter loves My Little Pony Friendship is Magic (her favorite is Pinkie Pie), animals, science, and exploring the wilderness.  She is a mix of girly girl and rough tough little pioneer lass.

Any clothing for little Miss Ariashe loves dresses, skirts, and pantaloons.  Check out my pinterest board for ideas - http://pinterest.com/rlynn/aria-clothing/. (Size 5)

Custom stenciled or applique tees for Aria.  Good themes are animals (especially elephants), MLP, Care Bears, Superheroes (Avengers and X-men), Dinosaurs, anatomy, Volcanoes, rainbows (Size 5)

Car pillow for Aria (you know, the kind that look like mini boppy pillows)

Seat Belt cover for Aria

Assorted doll/stuffed animal diapers in various sizes.

Clothing for my adorable and spunky little niece Evelyn.  She is 3 months old so probably 3-6 month or bigger in size.  My sister would like to avoid pink and girly themes.  Sis is a computer geek so something related to such geekery might be kind of fun.

Sewn Mama/Luna Pads (whatever the heck they are called) for me.  I have two and I seriously need more.

Little waterproof pouches with snaps for the pads so I have something to put them in when Im out and about.

Pot holders, the square or the glove kind, but with the insulation stuff to keep my hands safe please I have no kitchen theme or really preferences beyond general color likes/dislikes. ~Thanks Kartiana!

Milk crate liners - http://pinterest.com/pin/68468856804893898/

Reversible button cowl - http://pinterest.com/pin/68468856804915226/.

Fingerless gloves for me.

Tiny crocheted animals (about 1-1.5 inches) for Aria.  She has piggies already.

Crochet or knitted washcloths.

Slouchy hat for me like this - http://pinterest.com/pin/68468856804616327/.  PM for head size.

Knitted animal stuffies like this sweet elephant - http://pinterest.com/pin/68468856807017238/.

Custom artwork inspired by my daughter Aria.  If art is your thing, Id love to send you a photo and see what you come up with.  Im trying to collect a whole wall of Aria art by various artists.  Any medium or style is welcome.

Doctor play kit for Aria, I really like this one - http://pinterest.com/pin/68468856805505207/.

Steampunk inspired cuffs for me. 6.5 inch wrist.

Craft kits for Aria; thinkmake your own flower press kit, fairy garden kit, felted rocks or soaps kit, simple sewing kits, etc

1/0/0

Hi! I'm Michelle from NC. I am 32 years old and I have a 7 year old daughter. I love to crochet, cross stitch and embroider. I like to dabble in other things but those are my favorites.  I am a lover of almost all things geeky/fandom related and my living room is decorated with all the wonderful geeky things I have received in swaps.

My daughter will be turning 8 on Aug. 30 and I would love to get a few crafted things for her birthday. She is currently into Pokemon, Batman, Binky the Space Cat, space, cats and Sonic the Hedgehog.

I claim spikefan for an organiser.  Smiley

1/0/0

Hello, Im Kirsten, I live in New Zealand. I have had quite a long break from swapping (just life) and it's so great to be back in OWS - it's been ages!!

I love art and I do a lot of drawing, painting and printmaking. I finally finished studying and got a permanent job starting in October.

Colours: particularly blue/green/teal/aqua, natural tones, or black and white; not so keen on pastels and pinks/purples (though dusty/dull shades can be nice).
Metals: silver, copper or antiqued finishes.
Fabrics: plainish and textured rather than very patterned. Natural linen, monochromatic prints rather than very multi-coloured. Some styles I particularly like are mid-century modern, Scandinavian, Japanese (but not kawaii).

I dont have any allergies. I prefer natural fibres, but not exclusively.

I like simple and arty things, I dont really like cutesy things much. I have a wist that will give you a really good idea of the sorts of things I like inspired by rather than exact copies is great. http://wists.com/jemimah
I have also just started a Pinterest, but there's not much on it yet - I will add a link once there's some stuff to look at.

Thank you for picking me!!

CRAFTS

SEWN
* set of placemats and/or table napkins machine washable please.
* a pockety project bag I always have several projects on the go, so use these a lot, different styles and sizes all welcome
* organiser things (e.g. project holder, thing for storing small supplies and bits) any size. Some ideas in wist, but other styles are good too.
* sewing ideas (if you want to make a cushion/or cushion covers, please mail them unstuffed for easy postage). I could really use some nice cushion covers in natural linen colour, cream, or rust.
* pot mitts/pot holders - something amusing, or one of my fave themes, or just simple.
*  fabric buckets are great! I like them quite big (grocery bag size, or even bigger), but you don't need to put interfacing or padding/batting in them, so they can fold up flat for easy posting. They don't need to be fancy, plain and sturdy is fine. Short handles are useful, but not essential. Small size is good too if thats easier.
* paint brush/art tools roll or folder/holder thing
* mug rug

YARN/FELT RELATED
* hand dyed or hand spun yarn
* handknitted wool socks (womens size 9-10, any colour) (I know, this is a big one!)
* if youre interested in knitting something, these are some things I want in my ravelry faves (I dont necessarily want all the other things in my ravelry faves though ) ravelry wants there are some smaller things like hats and mitts in there, and a couple of crochet things too. Some good colours for knits dull denim blue, dull greyish rose, chartreuse, rich or dull red (not too orange-y or dark please), teal.
* wisty things made of felt or felted wool

PAPER RELATED
* stationery notecards or paper, its all good (bonus points for Star Trek or Dr Who theme!)
* stationery ideas

OTHER CRAFTS
* handmade ceramic item, esp. in celadon green (but any colours are good) ceramic ideas coffee mug, little bowl, something useful
* hair sticks/ hair comb not too girly please, see wist
* polyclay or ceramic buttons - a variety of sizes/colours/textures would be great!

VARIOUS CRAFTY POSSIBILITIES

* a Star Trek or Doctor Who thingy, whatever you like to make, my faves are Spock, tardis and daleks. (Useful rather than decorative is usually my preference, but any Spock, tardis, or dalek item that lands in my letterbox will find a home). Some ideas Tardis journal; daleks on anything; Spock stationery, journal. Great Spock pattern here
* things to put other things in box, organiser, project holder, stationery folder etc. always welcome
* protective folder to store artwork in A4 or A3 would be great
*  cool/or fun/or vintage-y/or modern pendants, buttons, or brooches, in any medium - metal, fabric, ceramic, polyclay. (I love jewellery and have a silly amount of it already, so I would probably use these for other creative purposes, e.g. embellishing purses, books, home decor things - so a few fun bits and pieces would be better for me than something very precious Smiley)

* or a wisty surprise - http://wists.com/jemimah

CRAFT SUPPLIES (many of these things are VERY expensive here, more than 2x US prices)

* real silk for embroidery, any colours, any brand, any type its hideously expensive where I live (its probably not that cheap where you live, but I bet its cheaper than here! a very small envelope will be cheap to post, and will make me very happy).
(A few OWSers have sent me silk, and I <3 it all! Thank you!)
* interesting embroidery supplies (please stick with quality over quantity, Id much rather have a tiny envelope with a few lovely skeins/little things than lots of cheap floss/beads, and it's also cheaper for postage!) The sort of stuff I like is DMC, anything silk or linen, Au Ver Soie, Japanese stuff, bits for goldwork (purl, kid, etc.), handmade/hand dyed, quirky things. Vintage/second hand is fine.  No Aida please.
* Noro yarn, other silk/luxury yarn, artisan yarn (I have a great local source for good wool yarns, so while I love that too, its not worth you mailing it to me Smiley)
* stainless steel yarn like this or this
* bamboo circs (I have quite a few sizes in metal and plastic, but no bamboo. Long cables best, but any welcome.)
* nice cotton or linen fat quarters or fat eighths - there's heaps of wisted fabric I like to give you some ideas.
* nice paper - e.g handmade, japanese, printmaking, watercolour, textured, any colour or weight - it's for art and printmaking, so plain rather than patterned is best.
* small art supplies items:-
     - pencils, markers and pens (Prismacolor/Derwent/Caran D'Ache/Posca for example, or similar artist grade things think quality rather than quantity, just a few nice things would be fab! and cheap to mail)
     - peel and sketch charcoal pencils
     - drypoint etching supplies (roulette, plastic for etching)
     - inkpads, little stencils, stamps, etc.
     - MaimeriBlu watercolours
* thick stampcarving material (I have the tools, but the only stuff to carve I can easily find here is lino and small erasers)
* 100% wool felt, eco felt < Ive never seen eco felt available here (I have stacks of ordinary synthetic felt already though)

I claim Jemimah for some Ravelry patterns.

3/0/0

But in general I like jewel and earthy tones, I'm really digging on mustard yellow and turquoise, grays, army green and khaki, and rust red.  I personally wear a lot of black, gray, and brown.  My daughter loves My Little Pony Friendship is Magic (her favorite is Pinkie Pie), animals, science, and exploring the wilderness.  She is a mix of girly girl and rough tough little pioneer lass.  She climbs mountains in her boots on the weekends and does pirouettes in ballet slippers during the week.  Wink

I claim spikefan for Binky jeans for Emily.

1/0/0

My name is Cindy, and I live in Wisconsin with my husband (Kirk), seven-year-old son (Nolan) and two orange and white kitties (Oscar and Frodo). Nolan is autistic, and Kirk left his job in the dying newspaper industry to stay home with him three years ago. I work in a cubicle 40 hours a week. This is my first ongoing swap of any type!

I love bold/bright colors, birds (all kinds... backyard song birds, owls, chickens, flamingos...), humor, coffee, the 80's and my boy. He loves music, banjos, sharks and other fish, swinging/running/jumping, pickles, potato chips, pillows and blankets.

My pinterest is huge, so there are plenty of ideas there as well... www.pinterest.com/nolansmomster

Hooplas-- I am starting a wall of hoops and even other small craftster art... Nolan tends to be in everything, so cuteness is safest on the walls in our house.

Fun shirts for Nolan-- I tend to dress Nolan in novel shirts or anything that says "awesome" (which is one of very few words that he uses). Size 10 or 12ish

Skirts for me-- I love skirts... Anything with an elastic waist or Jersey knit that isn't crazy short... there are about a billion of them on my Wearable pinterest board. XL please.

Fabric or yarn bins or buckets for storage (I can put any size or shape to use)... I think I have some of these pinned too

Headbands (fabric please) or hair scarves

Pretty scarves (rather than warm scarves)

Wall art that says something about being awesome (like "don't forget to be awesome" or the house rules with "be awesome" or whatever else you might come up with)

Bath mats or other small  rugs

Any musical instrument type toy for Nolan

Jewelry storage-- Nolan is obsessed with chains and strings, so I have no good way to store my jewelry- especially necklaces... ideally, I would have a space that is easy to access while still being hidden from the view of busy hands. I have a small jewelry armoire, but it isn't inaccessible so he is always in it.

Anything Wisconsin, autism or puzzle piece themed

A wreath or other decoration for the front door that is relatively weather proof

Small bird feeder to entertain the cats (especially the lazy one)

Leg warmers

Cross-body tote bag or purse (this is particularly adorable-- just needs a longer strap http://patternpile.com/sewing-patterns/funky-little-owl-bag-sewing-pattern/ )

Anything with the laughing Buddha (for my mother)-- she doesn't have a ton of extra space, so practical, wall-mounted or small would be ideal

Anything Hanson (yes... Mmmmbop Hanson)

Small fidget-type toys for Nolan

Supplies-- used or scraps are totally fine:
Beeswax
Lip balm tubes or pots
Candy flavoring (like LorAnn)
Burlap coffee bags
spools of tulle
Double fold bias tape, ric rac or other trim
Tiny jars or tins (baby food or pimento sized jars or wedding favor sized tins)
Jersey Knit fabric
Okay fleece type fabric
Quilting-weight cotton
Weighted stuffing/ poly pellets
Elastic
Wired ribbon
Spiral bound sketch book
Books or magazines-- loom knitting, sewing, felting, misc... used is perfectly fine

I claim Banga for a slouchie beanie for the kiddo and some supply extras.

4/0/1

But in general I like jewel and earthy tones, I'm really digging on mustard yellow and turquoise, grays, army green and khaki, and rust red.  In real life, I wear a lot of black, gray, and brown. Wink

Pantaloons like this http://pinterest.com/pin/68468856808139433/.  Love the color, would also love black/gray thin stripes, black, gray, or brown. Its a huge wish, I know.

Any clothing for little Miss Ariashe loves dresses, skirts, and pantaloons.  Check out my pinterest board for ideas - http://pinterest.com/rlynn/aria-clothing/. (Size 5)

Custom tees for Aria.  Stencil, hand-drawn sketches, or applique.  Good themes are animals (especially elephants), MLP, Care Bears, Supebrheroes (Mostly Marvel - Spiderman AND Avengers - she likes Loki quite a bit as well as Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, and Wasp AND X-men - Rogue, Domino, Wolverine and her lone DC favorite is Batman), Dinosaur fossils, human anatomy, volcanoes, rainbows, galaxy inspired (especially Saturn).  (Size 5)

Car pillow for Aria

Seat Belt cover for Aria

Assorted doll/stuffed animal diapers in various sizes.

Clothing for my adorable and spunky little niece Evelyn.  She is 3 months old so probably 3-6 month or bigger in size.  My sister would like to avoid pink and girly themes.  Sis is a computer geek so something related to such geekery might be kind of fun.

Sewn Mama/Luna Pads (whatever the heck they are called) for me.  I have two and I seriously need more.

i claim rlynn for clothing for the three month old. and also i can do some kind of art based off one of your daughters drawings. i'm still recovering from my surgery but i can totally do art in bed, and baby didi is 6 months now and wears lie 9-12 month clothes so this works for me.

this is my first claim is this how i write it?
1/0/0 ?

my name is amanda, and i am 30 yrs old. i have a 10yr old daughter, 8 yr old son, and  month old baby girl. i am a stay at home mom and artist. i love to paint, sculpt, and i also make altered paintbrushes. my biggest craft crush to make right now are polymer art dolls! i also sew scrappy and junkrjaneish dolls by hand. new at it though.
i have a husband that is a mason that looks similar to techno viking lol. so that is what i call him.
my pinterest: http://pinterest.com/artista83/boards/

#1 WISH my number one wish is for a poppet. i trully love them with all of my muchness lol. i would love a female poppit that has hair made of handspun yarn or artsy yarn in different colors and textures! maybe she could hold a paintbrush and pallet or something? other than that, be as creative as you want! that is my major number one wish. i looovvvee poppits!

a Zombie boardgame! i saw a walking dead one on here that someone made with some polymer people, i fell in love with it! i dont have a printer so there is no way i could make it myself unless i hand drew everything! im a big zombie fan lol http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=421443.10#axzz2bEiahFjt

a good sized junkrjane doll, like sizable enough to sleep with? lol as dorky as it is, when my hubby has to work out of state...yes, i cuddle stuffs lol.

think pillowpet, now think zombie plush pillowpet! teehee i could recover in style from surgery layin on a zombie! lol

on my art dolls pinterest board, there are these art dolls that are sewn from fabric with fabric bunny ears, but polymer faces with doll eyes and fake teeth made of polymer. i looovvvveee them and i think they could brobably even be made out of socks if sewing is not your thing! i would love one inspired from them! the shape of the face is basically a circle with a wierd mouth with snaggleteeth lol. i have no doll eyes or i would make my own. well, i am farely new to sewing also. http://pinterest.com/artista83/poppits-art-dolls-and-other-stuff-i-love-and-wish-/
