1-0-0

hiya craftsters!  i'm jo.  i live in a small town right outside of st. louis, missouri (but in ilinois) with my husband and my 2 awesome kiddos.  georgia is 9 and wiley is 3 - they've been benifiting from craftster love for a couple years, now, and they love when packages arrive.  georgia is very into american girl dolls, and wiley is batman (and don't you try and tell him otherwise).

we are also proudly owned by kitty who adopted us last year.  her name is qt.

i like to make lots of thigs, but i'd say i'm in a 'more art than craft' way right now, but you never know when that will change.  I love to read and currently consume about a book per day.  I love aqua and teal, and most bright colors.  burgundy and mauve and country blue make me sad.

we have no serious allergies here, but i work very hard to avoid cat hair and cigarette smoke, so those things are not appreciated.

i have set up a few pinterest boards for swapping, and nearly everything listed here can be found on them.  however, you can feel free to peruse any of my "i want" pin boards to find inspiration.  "*"s indicate big wishes

crafty wishes ( http://pinterest.com/josasser/swap-wishes/ ) . . .

*- superhero capes.  i need several, so ask and i'll give you details about which ones i need most
- floppy sun hat for me

knit/crochet
- clothes/accessories for georgia's american girl doll
- reusable swifter cover

hoopla ( http://pinterest.com/josasser/i-want-hoopla-loves/ )
- my hoopla wall is in my kitchen, where my dominating colors are aqua blue, lime green, and bright red, so i'd like these to be the dominant colors in the hooplas.  thanks Smiley

other art/craft
- "S"s for my s wall.
- wall plaque with knobs for necklaces
- hemp or beaded anklet for me
- tie dyed boxer briefs for my husband and/or son (36 and 3t)

*- stamped jewelry for my niece (i'll provide a lyric from some awful song she likes.  maybe a bracelet?)
*- a 2006 penny keychain, stamped with either a heart, "tweet tweet", or "love", and "11.11" on the other side

i do have some giant crafty wishes, if anyone is feeling generous.  these claims would land you a thank-you package - http://pinterest.com/josasser/huge-swap-wish-list/

supplies ( http://pinterest.com/josasser/i-want-supplies-tools-new-crafts/ )
- tiny embroidery hoop pendants
- embroidery hoops, especially smaller sizes
- doilies, commercial or handmade
- bits of lace trim (12" or so)
- tree branch slices
- bits of leftover yarn (anything from 12" to small balls, esp fun and thick yarns)
- a blank board book (10-14 pages)
- a smash book

I claim jo_mama for a hemp bracelet, maybe a swiffer cover.
At least it wont take that long to get to you since we only live about an hour and a half away from each other. Wink
2/0/0

Okay, it's getting closer and closer to Christmas, so I am getting excited! I have a board for "christmas swaps", feel free to craft from that, as we threw out ALL of our christmas decorations when we moved! I am adding some gifts to my list that I would like some help with, so please feel free to claim those! (I know I like crafting more for the craftster member, I dont know if anyone else is the same way)

ABOUT ME:
I am 25 years old, and I live near St. Louis, MO. I have a 2 year old daughter, and a boyfriend of 4 years. I go to school full time for Graphic Design with one year left. I am very crafty and don't stick to a particular method, so it's hard to pinpoint my expertise. I am an intermediate crocheter, I paint, draw, sculpt, assemble, yada, yada. I am always looking for sewed items, as that's the one crafting method I havent tried yet.

For my Pinterest, go here: http://pinterest.com/breegy/
For my WISHLIST Pinterest, go here: http://pinterest.com/craftsterbreegy/
For my wists go here: http://www.wists.com/breegy

Likes:
I like chevron, stripes, india inspired designs, bold shapes, and antiqued designs/styles. (I have an album.)
I like bold, dark, jewel, and fall tones. My favorite colors are coral and mustard yellow.
Owl anything!
Alien anything! (the little green guys, not the movies)
Lavender, Hippy, and Coffee scents
Dangly earrings
Everything nerdy
Turquoise (the mineral, not particularly the color)
Anything wearable and leather (I'm a leather jacket and combat boots kinda girl)
Anything from the following fandoms in ALWAYS welcome: Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, Merlin, The Guild, Supernatural, Harry Potter, or Community.

Dislikes:
Purples, neon colors, blues.
Useless, cluttering stuff.
Fruit scents and minty scents
Anything super girly
Butterflies, asian influences, dragonflies, realistic flowers, pretty much anything that goes along with that "peace, unity, and love" trend. Although, I DO enjoy tie-dye in dark colors.

I have no allergies that I know of, and hopefully I don't find out about them from your swaps!

THINGS ON MY SUPER-DUPER WANT LIST ARE IN BOLD!
Click Me for my Wishlist Pinterest!

WISHLIST:
SEWING:
A camera strap! (a patterned, stylish fabric, preferably)
Throw Pillows in off white, tan, brown, light/dark grey, or mustard yellow (Sending without filling is OKAY, I am capable of stuffing and sewing the bottoms up myself. [: ) Lots of inspiration on styles here.
Oven mits (red, black, and/or white in the theme of owls preferably)
Mug rugs (see my Pinterest board for inspirations)
A fabric cigarette case for myself. (and if they are easy to make, maybe a second one for my mother-in-law Wink)
Harry Potter Kindle Cover I would actually LOVE this as a Merlin.
Buntings. There are loads of them on this board.
A remote holder like this. In yellow, white, brown, tan, and/or grey. Designs are okay.
Super hero masks for my autistic little brother. In Sonic, Spiderman, Batman, original Pokemon, and Dragonball Z(maybe have saiyan hair attached?). He is very particular about his cartoons (his eye for detail is amazing), so please try and get the designs as much like the character as possible. He is also 20, so it's not for a child's head.
Travel Trashbag for my car (brown, tan, and light blue)
Draft Blockers. (I can fill them myself) Color combos on the link.
A car organizer maybe with a few extra spots for small toy figurines and crayons. In tan/brown/light blue colors, preferably.
An activity holder in red, white, and/or black. Designs are okay, owls a plus. =)
18 month underwear. HUGE need! My daughter is potty training and I cant find underwear to fit her ANYWHERE, she is so little around the waist. I can get a measurement if you need me to.

KNITTED/CROCHETED:
Size 8 (or 8 1/2) house slippers (I love the elf ones, and the fitted two tone ones)!
This awesome hat!
Amigurumi Viking in Purple and Yellow (minnesota vikings) for my father.
My daughter would love this hello kitty scarf. I know i have seen a free HK granny square pattern somewhere, so it's not necessary to buy this pattern.
Yo Gabba Gabba Mittens. Seriously, my daughter saw me pinning these and went apeshit.

OTHER MEDIUMS:
A crochet needle holder (this can be any medium)
Hoopla art (many ideas here.)
Zombie gnome
A Rain Chain
Moving Mountains sign. inspired by or replica of this one. the color is perfect.
A door hanger that says "hi". I really have no spectacular ideas for this, honestly. I just want it to match my door mat
A decorated recipe box (in red/white/black, and owl themed)
A Pinky Pie (My Little Pony) shirt. Size 2t or 3t, please.
A surprise for a 2 year old (she's advanced for her age, though). Shirts, toys, activity sets, figurines, dolls, etc. She LOVES Pinky Pie from My Little Pony, Hello Kitty, The Color Crew, Muno/Plex from Yo Gabba Gabba, and turtles! Get creative!
THIS phone case. I have an HTC Evo though.
Fandom figurines! (Plush, clay, or any other medium)
My Little Pony Tail?
Some bunting cards to send with my swaps.
Yo Gabba Gabba nesting dolls for my daughter.
Baseball bracelets. I would need 12 for my softball team. I know that's a lot, but they seem really easy to make. I just don't have access to 6 baseballs. (used and old balls are totally okay! and make sure one bracelet is a little larger, we have a big guy.)
A stuffed turtle. This can be crocheted, knitted, or sewn. I have several examples on my pinterest. (inspired or exact)
Felted dryer balls
Zetti windchimes (this claim is on hold for babalina58)

SURPRISE FROM MY PINTEREST:
ANYTHING goes on this pinterest. Inspired or exact! Also, I LOVE surprises!

Shrinky dink
Permanent markers (preferably double ended)
Perler beads
Swivel Exacto Knife
Metal Stamping Kit
Stamp making Kit

EXTRAS:
A magnet from your location

I claim texscrapper for a wine bag

This is my first claim
none has been sent
none has been received

Hello there !!
Im Tammy.  Im 40 and im married to a great man and mom to three handsome boys in Northern California. I moved here from OH and love it!! We purchased our first home and are thrilled!!  I like to sew, quilt.  I am starting to get into embroidery and can crochet a little bit.  Im very much into girly type stuff and love anything regency -titanic era. I also love 30s-40s things as well.  I am allergic to nickel.

Here are my wishes
Anything off my wist list is great!!

Im looking for unwanted rock concert tshirts!!  80s hairbands a plus!!!  rock, hard rock or metal!! !

New items
pair of black leg warmers (for hubby) or/and a red pair for me!!  (one pair at a time is fine!!) crochet or knitted

Mediums (more can be found in my list  Grin)
~~Jewelry (chokers, bracelets, earrings but please no nickel posts)
~~Aprons!!  Even though I sew them I would love to see what others come up with!!
~~My MIL is a bingo fanatic!!!  A bingo bag or a nice seat cushion would be great for a gift.
~~New purse
~~Hand warmers Victorian Goth ones would be perfect.
~~Crazy Quilted Purse.  Or any purse made by you!!
~~Regency or Victorian era Reticule  (have received but more are always welcome here!!)
~~Petticoat (cotton or cotton blend please) either knee or ankle length with some fullness to it as I like poufy skirts !! I actually wear these a lot!! (Im 5'5 email for length) (received one from farmgirljane and would love more!!)
~~I would love some soft wool socks!!  Size 7 feet  Or a pair of socks with eyelet lace sewn around the cuffs (remember to stretch the sock a bit or it wont fit  Grin)
~~I have a weird obsession with knitted cuffs!! I love them!!  Chocolate brown, red.
~~ Anything that can help me decorate my Victorian inspired sewing room
~~ Would love a first aid kit that I can keep in my car.  Can be of any medium just as long as its a bit "fun" to look at and have. After all first aid is bad enough!!   Something really creative (thats why i asking.  I cant think of anything lol)

Im also looking for a sign that says "Please no solicitors or religious groups"  I have people of one kind or another knocking at my door constantly and it makes me rather uncomfortable.

Crafted Items~~

KNITTED AND CROCHETED

I love this shawl and I am willing to wait longer if anyone will make it for me. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CivilWarShawlKAL/  Im not picky about color.  Would be just happy to even have one.

SEWN

**Civil War Era Cape called a Mathilde Mantilla (Think of a Civil War era Poncho.  This is basically what it is)  Here is a link to the pattern http://www.uvm.edu/%7Ehag/godey/images/s5902170.jpg  and here is an example of what it looks like http://www.thegracefullady.com/civilwargowns/ready-mades_silkmantle.htm Measurements will be provided.  Wool blend or Corduroy would be great. Hood is decorative and is not functional. It only uses around 3 yards.  I would also prefer it lined for warmth. It would be great if I could retain the pattern as well for future projects.  (I can sew I just cant figure out how to make it <frown>) without a pre-drafted pattern.  OR If someone with any drafting skills wouldnt mind drafting a pattern to my size I could play around with it and make my own (If I have a pattern to work with)

Primitive Raggedy Ann doll (An example is in my wists)

Victorian caplet.  At least waist length please email for length.

Slat bonnet or corded can provide links if needed.  Any pattern should do as they are all basically the same result.

I would love some handkerchiefs. Monogrammed with my initials would be nice too!! (received more is welcomed)

Victorian slippers.  This pattern is from 1864
http://www.victoriana.com/VictorianShoes/victorianslipperpattern.html

Im looking for special kind of apron for my husband.  He cooks the eggs at breakfast time and is a ninjitsu martial artist.  I would love an embroidered apron that has a ninja/martial artist holding a spatula in each hand and says "Egg Master" underneath.  Fabric and colors are open as long as its durable and holds up.

Other Crafts~~~
Bars of handmade soap (the kind that is made from lye).  Lavender, oatmeal, goats milk, citrus are great however any scents are welcome!!  Or soap supplies/kit as I would love to learn how to make my own.  Plain Pre-made soap bars (cold press i think they are called) that are ready to have scents, colors, herbs ect melted and added in are appreciated too as I have young children and am concerned with having lye in the house.  <USA only>    Sad

Room sprays

Bath bombs.  Also jars of bath salts would be fantastic as well. Im good for now!! Thanks!!

Im looking for some scented oils.  I would rather these be handmade or from specialty shops and not from stores like joanns or hobby lobby ect.

Hand crafted candles are great too. Prefer either fruit and or spice scented ones or lavender (only floral scented one I like).  Im also interested in the scented candle chunks that you can melt and scent your house with.  I have received some but always appreciate more!!

Whimsey jar are really fun!!

Im loving the moon jars!! Would love to have one!! (babalina sent me two, hubby wants more lol)

Im looking for a serving tray that I can bring snacks from the kitchen to the living room.  Asian or Victorian influence a real plus.  Ive seen some nice ones made from frames (glass removed)

Im also looking for a picture frame.  about 1.5 inches or more wide/thick on the sides.  What I would like is a thin wooden back fitted to it. I dont need the glass for it.  An old vintage frame would be preferred for this.  Im going to use it as a center piece tray for candles (if you can visualize it will lay flat on the table) I can take a pic of the pic in my book if you would like to see my inspiration.

Shower curtain.  Victorian style please!! Please contact for colors.

My 18 year old loves Jack Skellington from the Nightmare before Christmas so anything with him on (appropriate for a guy) would be fantastic

Handcrafted Jewelry with Victorian influence

Im looking for a table runner for our new table we recently purchased.  Looking for something, of course Victorian style as well.  Measurements can and will be provided.  Want something rich looking but affordable to make!!  Also looking for new fabric dinner napkins (18").

~~Supplies~~

Sewing items~~ Anything related to sewing is welcome!!  Trims, fabric, thread ect.(Gently used too)
Im also interested in any older sewing supplies as well from antiques stores and such (I have a tracing wheel i bought for $4 so they can be affordable).  Patterns (Burda Mag, Modern, Historic and Historic inspired too)!!  I need envelopes with a size 14 & 16 included in the envelope for dresses and tops and a 16 for skirts.  Thanks!!
Vogue~~ .. .2884...2968...1239 ... 8352...8003,,,v1178,,,v1172
Simplicity~~
McCalls~~

Im especially trying to find a Simplicity Jumper Pattern from 1948 pattern is on my wist list (36" bust if possible)

Fabric Mystery Bundle from Fabricmart.com  http://www.fabricmartfabrics.com/xcart/804051-10-yard-Mystery-Fabric-Bundle-Assortment.html  Or the mystery box they have for sale (received but more are always welcome!!  I love these!!!!  Thanks Averia!!)

New or Unwanted Issues of Threads ( I have all of 2003, 2006-2008 Though I dont have issues 137 or 138, 140  !!!) probably best to check with me on numbers!! and Burda World of Fashion Magazine !! (I have a few ...1/06** 7/03**4/05** 3/08**)  (used is fine) Knipmode, Ottobre, Patrones, La Mode

I claim LadybugsAndBumblebees for lanyards

2 claims, 0 being shipped, 0 received

About Me: My name is Laura and I live in Maryland with my husband, 3 kids, a dog, a cat, a rabbit and a box turtle.

For most things, I would prefer items inspired by my pinterest instead of exact duplicates.

I am a stay-at-home mom and a writer. I love cross stitch and embroidery and I have a huge wall set aside for hoops. It has had many beautiful additions from swapping, but there is a smidge of room left to fill. I am a huge fan of Firefly/Serenity, steampunk, and the color blue in all shades. Most rooms in my house are white or beige with blue accents, my living room is pale green. I need some color. I'm trying to make our house feel something like a beach cottage (even tho we are about 30 minute drive from the Chesapeake bay) but the house has more of an overstuffed, cluttered, lived in feel.

I claim LadybugsandBumblebees for an assortment of things for her classroom.

2/0/0

Hi!  I'm Teresa from Georgia and I'm so happy the OWS is back up and running!  Thanks Monica for many many fun months and thanks Averia and Breegy for keeping it going while Monica takes her well deserved break from organizing.

I live on a little patch of land  north of Atlanta with my husband of 32 years, a pet cow, mini donkey, two pygmy goats, and three cats.  One of our grown daughters is living at home right now with her little black rescue dog.  He has taken over our home and our hearts in a huge way.  I've taught a young 5's class at a private preschool for 22 years and I love love love my job!

I have no true allergies but I do have an intense dislike for the smell of smoke (esp. cigar and pipe) and lavender.

I have a seriously massive Pinterest.  Feel free to choose something off of one of these boards (if you see something on another board that you're interested in just send me a pm and let's talk about it.  I really don't want hooplas or pincushions this round though):

OWS/OPS Biggest Wishes
Crafty Wishes:  This & That
Crafty Wishes:  Fabric
Crafty Wishes:  Yarn

I'd rather not be claimed for a surprise.  I like to know what's coming.

Crafts:

A Jack & the Beanstalk playset in any medium.  Nice and sturdy.

A Billy Goats Gruff playset in any medium.  Nice and sturdy.

A 3 Little Pigs playset in any medium.  Nice and sturdy.

A Red Riding Hood playset in any medium...yeah, Nice and sturdy  Cheesy

Largish note cards or stationary with a space theme.  I would rather have fewer elaborate cards than a quantity of simple ones.  I am pen pals with an 8 year old former student who moved away and I love to send over the top cards and stationary when I write to him.  Really, if you send me two really "WOW" cards that would be a fantastic claim!

Anything Georgia themed for my daughter's classroom.  She teaches 8th grade Ga. history.

A set of mesh produce bags with drawstring closures.

A couple of washable dusters for my Swiffer 360.  I love that thing but those refills are expensive!

Wall art that says "The Queen is Crafting".  Any medium, bright colors, any size.

A plastic bag holder in a whimsical cat themed fabric.

70's "flower power" vinyl clings or magnets

A fabric wallet.  I have never had a wallet I really liked so I'll leave the style totally up to you.  I would love the fabric to be either purple paisley, colorful mushrooms, or retro flowers but anything fun will be great.

A journal made from an old Golden Book or from a child's school book of some sort (an old, worn out, it's okay to destroy it book of course).

Sturdy dog toys.  He is small with a small mouth and prefers smallish toys and floppy things.

Cat nip pillows.  My old cats don't "play" so much anymore but love to snuggle on little cat nip pillows.  They don't enjoy the cat nip spray so please use dried catnip.

Lightweight earrings in any of these themes:  pizza, goldfish crackers, space, dinosaurs, circus
(shrinky dink would be perfect or any other very lightweight medium)

Supplies:

fairy tale themed fabric
fabric crayons
fabric markers
transfer pens
any fabric that brings the 60's or 70's to mind (old sheets, curtains, etc... are fine for this)
1/2 yard of any color felt from the bolt (not the sheets)
good metal snaps
cotton batting
interfacing (sew in or iron on)
your favorite sewing or needlework supply that you just couldn't live without
large or small round hot glue sticks
buttons... always
aida
painting supplies: brushes, sponges, ?
colored tape of any kind, washi, masking, duct....

Extras:
a photo of your county courthouse (hard copy with info on back)
your favorite vegetarian, vegan, WW, or gluten free recipes
Starburst Babies (if you're from a country that has them)
gluten free snacks and treats (must be certified gf)
old photos of people (for journal prompts and creative writing prompts)

Thanks for claiming me!

I claim gamemom42 for catnip toys and a patchy fabric scarf
1/0/0

My name is Robin and I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner Phil and our inquisitive and imaginative 5 year old daughter Aria Jae.  When Im not crafting or hanging out with the family, Im probably teaching, doing research, or attempting to make some progress on my dissertation.  I love fantasy novels and comics, steampunk and gibbous fashions, and boots...I love boots.  A good place to get a feel for my color/pattern/style preferences for fabric is here - http://pinterest.com/rlynn/fabric-love/.    Okay, except for the squirrels, elephants, robots, and skulls (those would be more for my daughter).  But in general I like jewel and earthy tones.  I wear a lot of black, gray, and brown.  My daughter loves My Little Pony Friendship is Magic (her favorite is Pinkie Pie), animals, science, and exploring the wilderness.  She is a mix of girly girl and rough tough little pioneer lass.

Any clothing for little Miss Ariashe loves dresses, skirts, and pantaloons.  Check out my pinterest board for ideas - http://pinterest.com/rlynn/aria-clothing/. (Size 5)

Sewn Mama/Luna Pads (whatever the heck they are called) for me.  I have two and I seriously need more.

Little waterproof pouches with snaps for the pads so I have something to put them in when Im out and about.

Pot holders, the square or the glove kind, but with the insulation stuff to keep my hands safe please I have no kitchen theme or really preferences beyond general color likes/dislikes.

Knitted animal stuffies like this sweet elephant - http://pinterest.com/pin/68468856807017238/.

Custom artwork inspired by my daughter Aria.  If art is your thing, Id love to send you a photo and see what you come up with.  Im trying to collect a whole wall of Aria art by various artists.  Any medium or style is welcome.

Doctor play kit for Aria, I really like this one - http://pinterest.com/pin/68468856805505207/.

Steampunk inspired cuffs for me. 6.5 inch wrist.

Button Push Pins for my cubicle.  Seriously love the vintage look of these - http://pinterest.com/pin/68468856804579361/.
