For a while, I've been itching to make myself a flowy, boho maxi dress...something to twirl in or to throw on when it's blistering hot outside. The problem I've been having, though, is finding a suitable fabric. I want something 100% cotton, on the thin side, with a nice drape. (Something like this, for example:http://www.freepeople.com/clothes-dresses/open-shoulder-maxi-dress-27535491/)

Voile, poplin or muslin might do ther trick.  If you can buy in person just feel for the weight.  If buying online I have found voile I ordered to be very light (but also very sheer).
