Some of those mixed animals are pretty amazing.  I prefer the totally artificial ones, though, not too big on real dead animal taxidermy.  Poor critters!  Cry

There are a lot of fake animal parts available through taxidermy supply, though they are sometimes expensive.  But if you want something very real-looking, it might be worth the investment.

Here's the supplier I  use the most for my business (I make fake animals for a living):  http://www.mckenziesp.com/

I'd do this!  I think it's cool because you could do Cabinet of Curiousities themed stuff, without having to taxidermy....  I forsee lots of organ in jars jewelry, or anatomical hooplas, or siamese twin goat stuffies or something... Would be a lot of fun!

I agree, Anarchy.  When I think "oddities" I think of all kinds of things including weird assemblages, creepy dolls, hair jewelry, bone art, bugs, etc etc.  Sky's the limit!  Smiley

ludi, i am curious to see some of the fake animals you made/ make, do you have a picture? interesting! yeah my main idea of things to make are definitely cabinet filler stuffs. even mini cabinets made of polymer would be cool! with lil curiosities inside lol! i know they did lil cabinets bf but i think they were wizard ones or something.
