Am waiting for an essential item to appear before I can get started on my biggest item for this swap, but have done some work on smaller items. I have a great idea of something to make for trekky just need to see if I have the required item! I made something small with modelling clay, which will be part of something bigger and spent about 2 hours today filing it down to try and get rid of the cracks etc and make it more of a uniform size. Yes, I am crap at clay work but I am pleased with this now that it's been filed, it is not the best example of the media but it is my best and I think my partner will appreciate it! I've got lots of ideas, I kind of need to write them down somewhere! Am also in the sweat shoppe swap so have been handsewing sock monkeys for the last few days, I figured whilst waiting for stuff for this swap I ought to start on the other then I'll have more crafting time for this one. Also as I need to make six of them if I get fed up I can do something from this swap and then go back to them.

Sorry that was a rather rambling check in am just so excited about this swap!

Checking in!
Did some planning and some shopping yesterday. I started work on some projects today. Mostly measuring and cutting. I like to prepare everything before putting together in case I miscalculated or forgot something.
Ever have a day you start to craft and just can't find your supplies Huh  First my tape measure. Then the "good" scissors. Then they wouldn't cut smoothly. Ugh! Found out my kids(17 -24 yrs) used them. Always they use my good ones even after having 1/2 dozen themselves.
To beat it , I don't know what I was doing wrong but every time I thought I measured right and cut, I was short. Roll Eyes. Finally just winged it. Good thing too. I was running out of fabric and needed that extra for some another project Grin.  Just EEKED by. Like by cms .
But beside all that I'm happy with the progress so far.

Checking in... I have made one small item for Feline2001, and have brought supplies for making items for her rats.  I have a great idea for another item for Feline2001 - I just hope I can make it!  I've set aside tomorrow to have a big crafting day, when I shall get out my sewing machine (wish me luck!  Cheesy).
