Thank you angielou1 for the last minute signup. This is going to be fun. I have the partners already made. Questionnaires sent.

Please feel free to PM your partners to start asking lots of questions.  Have fun!  Spoil those pets rotten.

Remember to check in at least once week even just to say "I'm here. Still crafting." Just so we know that you are still alive.  Grin Grin Grin

Yay I have a partner. I had a feeling I would be paired with her so have been doing some thinking and some stalking. Once confirmed I went to a local store with a craft section and bought lots of stuff. I now have the stuff to do all but my main craft! Just off to pm my partner =)

I have to admit I have dressed my dogs up for an hour or so the last couple of years so I could get photos to make into a Christmas card.

As for Halloween, unfortunately it is not so big over here. BUT children come trick or treating and I have to admit a couple of years ago I answered the door all evening with a rat on my shoulder as my costume! It didn't quite work though as all the children were too young to be prejudiced and thought it was really cute and wanted to stroke them!

Grin Hi everyone! I know everyone by now have PM their partners and are busy stalking Grin.
Just a few questions. Got a couple of ideas and just waiting on partners answers to decide which direction to go. I've been stalking pinterest for Guinea Pigs housing/hide outs and was wondering if flannel is okay to use if you can't find the right fleece? I know my chinchillas don't mind having it around. I've seen some flannel fabric in corresponding fleece design and would like to incorporate in design.
What you all think?
Also do you think Guinea Pigs can use the chinchilla products too ?
My "fur" babies are on the small side. So I am trying to figure out the normal size of Guinea Pigs. My partner "hippycannibal" mentioned one of her babies is a ChubbyWubby Grin. Love that endearment LOL . Do you go by length or girth when making items?
Whew! All that stalking and couldn't figure that out. Roll Eyes LOL

My guinea pigs are big (especially Jeremy's behind  Cheesy).  The smallest cosy they currently have is 10 inches wide, and the smallest tunnel they have has a diameter of 4.5 inches.

For fabric choice, you need a fabric with no little holes (as there toes could get stuck).  My beasts have some fleece & fake fur (very fancy!), if the flannel is quite tightly woven I should think it would be ok.

I hope that helps!

Yes, thank you "Trekky". Grin
And the flannel I was thinking about would be the snuggle flannel made for babies clothing. It's tightly woven and sooo soft.
But fur would be nice too. Wouldn't have thought of that.
That's why I like to post. Sometimes you get ideas you never would have thought of. Grin

No worries!  I think most people have seen tiny guinea pigs in pet stores, but they are very greedy and grow big!

Hey guys! Sorry for the late post of my pics! Been one heck of a crazy week. Anywhovian, here's my little rodents.
This is Slick Rick

He's the sweetest piggy in the world.
Then there's his evil roommate... Tomahawk

For the most part, he's kind of a dick. But for some reason I still love him.
In fact, I just had my friend CarbineCorgi make a new home for them!

They seem to like all the extra room. Plus they're super excited for things to fill it with from this swap! Also please don't judge the poopy whales.
