Aw I wish I could participate, but I wouldn't get feedback from my first swap in time. I've been thinking about getting a furry fugitive for my apartment at school, so this would have been great!

Just wanting to get an opinion. I've had hamsters in the past, but I don't if I want to have another hammie or have a new friend. Why do you have a hamster/gerbil/guinea/etc?

You could ask for your feedback early if possible. Just explain that you want to do another swap.

Well it's the Pinterest swap so my claims are probably gonna be past the sign up timeline, but I'll have to keep this in mind! Good to know, thanks Gerbilgal!

Signups going good so far. Would like at least another UK swapper. Cost of shipping to the US from UK can get expensive for a  swap like this. I am very open on how much you want to send to your partners. It is just a guideline. Communication is VERY important in this swap.

This is open to Pet Lovers also. Even if you don't have a little furry, consider signing up.

Hooray, I've joined! I think it was the very first one of these I was part of in the past and was lucky enough to have gerbilgal as my partner! I'm from the UK and hoping for an English partner as it cost me a fortune in the first swap

I have four rats atm. Due to ongoing health issues this is as many as I can cope with, although my husband and I also have two dogs and two cats. If I refer to my husband a lot during this swap forgive me, but after a 7 year engagement we finally got married on June 30th, so it is still novel to call him husband.

I will post pics of my rats rats soon as am in bed on my kindle fire and only have pics of them on laptop. However I will post a pic of my wedding cake, lovingly made by a very good friend of mine! And another friend made the toppers

What cute rat toppers!

Tell me about it, I was so close to tears when I saw them!

AS promised here are some photos of my babies!

Nony (we couldn't decide on a name for her so she is A-Nony-mouserat

Blacky - when I first got her about 3 months ago she had obviously never been handled and was totally petrified of people, she'd scream if you ever went near her! I popped her and Nony, (who came with her and is absolutely the opposite, in that she loves cuddles) on the floor in our porch which is about 6 foot by 2, and completely scalable, thinking if I just sit here quietly for 30mins or so she may learn I'm not too scary, well 3 HOURS later I still had not been able to catch her to put her away! Having worked on her over the last few months she is now a different rat, she loves being cuddled, and yesterday I got my first boggle from her!

Lola, she was also petrified but instead of screaming she would take a lump out of your fingers. The amount of times I dripped blood onto the floor does not bear thinking about. But again she is now a different rat, very licky and my most affectionate!

Lastly Scruffy, she's been through the wars bless her. The week before my wedding we got up one day to find her eye was extremely swollen, so bad she could not close it so it was really dry too, of course we rushed her to the vets and got some eyedrops, on the way over I noticed she had a small tumor also. So we arranged when I picked her up after honeymoon to take her in and get it out. However when I picked her up she had lost a lot of weight, was lactating and had another 3 or 4 small lumps. From that we deduced it was a malignant tumor, most rat tumours are benign, and as it had created 3 lumps in two weeks if we took it out it would quickly grow back, so we decided just to go for palliative care. He gave me some medicine to stop her lactating and it has worked and she has put on the weight again and the lumps aren't growing fast so hopefully we'll have her a while yet, although of course there could be (and likely is) tumours on the inside as well. She is a lazy rat who likes snuggling in warm soft places, and is ALWAYS first to the foodbowl!

Sorry hope I haven't bored you all, would love to know a bit about all your fur babies, and the more info there is on them the better for your partner

Oops when I say the porch is completely scalable I do in fact mean sealable (in that they can't escape or do harm to themselves! I don't have mountaineer rats who need rooms to be scalable!
