Someone had suggested that I sculpt a pangolin. How could I possibly resist? They're so nifty and adorable.



This little guy is about 6" tall, and 4" wide & long. Made with Sculpey clay over a wire armature, and painted with acrylics.

I've been wanting to use glass eyes but they're quite pricey.
What I did for this little guy is I rolled a small ball of clay, carefully sliced it in half and then baked each half-sphere. If you bake them and then press them into the rest of the soft clay of the head, you can form clay around the eyeball without distorting or nicking it. Smiley
