Someone received a pair of amazing tie dyed socks in the Make A Friend  swap and I just had to have a pair.  I have never tie dyed anything before and thought now was a good time to start!  I also figured this would be a great project to do with my kids.  I bought a little tie dye kit that came with three bottles with the dye in them and all you had to do was add water.  I didn't realize how messy this project would be and ended up with blue hands for a few days after  Tongue  But at least our socks turned out great!

I am not sure why the tops of the socks dyed so much better than the bottom but that's okay cause you don't see the bottom when you wear shoes anyway!

Love um! The black and green zig-zag is especially cool.

Socks usually have slightly different fiber content in the stretchy top vs the softer bottom, which is probably why they hold the dye different. But you're right - the tops are awesome and vibrant, and that's what you'll show off!!
