Just finished this lap quilt.  This is one of those quilts that looks better than the photos...jmho.

They are black outlines of a horse's head with red lined horseshoes around the horse's head.  It is pieced with black on black  and dark red blocks.  The horse's heads face out from the center so the two blocks on one side have the horses looking left and the other two blocks have side the horses looking right.
