My coworker/work buddy invited myself and my spouse to her wedding in September. It's a smaller wedding so I was surprised, but very happy to be invited. My first thought was to crochet her a throw blanket as a gift. However, I'm wondering if that's too much. We've known each other for about 8 months and have only hung out outside of work once, but we really click. I'm no pro at crochet, so it's a big time commitment, plus I make 75% of my Christmas gifts (I've finished 2), blah blah blah.

Do you think a crocheted blanket is too over the top for the situation? If so, what's something else that I could make and gift them?

I realize this ^post is 2 years old and hope they are still happily married.

To answer the question, I'd suggest a photo album with a pretty homemade cover in their colors.  I've made some using 3-ring binders with insertable pages.  They have been well received.

God doesn't send people to hell.  He simply honors their choice.
