I never like those 3D wooden puzzle kits ( dinosaur skeletons, cars, dollhouses) when I was a little kid. I always broke pieces being impatient, and destroyed the finished skeleton playing with it later.

Now, as an adult with previous experience in most mediums, I can actually appreciate them.

I got the  3D wooden puzzle dollhouse furniture kit for $5 at micheal's. They are 1:24 or half scale, as are the dollhouses that they make. ( the fantasy villa and the gothic house i think) The first time, I left the tabs, and painted them a little childishly. So I got another set in order to get the most out of them.
I want to sculpt my own knobs, carve more intricate details, and remove all tabs before staining them. I personally love to make everything myself.

I am hoping you can contribute some examples of completed 3D puzzle kit projects - especially the dollhouses and dollhouse furniture! I need inspiration!

Hmmm... Very nice. But Im still in hoping to find more examples of dollhouses that are not themed specifically. Does anyone have any projects to share where they used these to make a more universal half scale dollhouse?
