So my Big sister has a medical condition that means she can do 'fiddly things' with her hands - like do up the strap on her favorite watch. So she asked if I could convert the strap to a stretchy one. She also had picked up this glasses cord/neck thing which she like the beads on:


I removed the existing straps and, using strechy beading cord (something I have never used really before) I re-beaded a strap using the beads from the glasses cord.

Here's the front:


And here's the other side:


I quite like how funky this has turned out and it is just 'so' my sister.

Nice that you made the watch functional for her as well as pretty!  I like the idea of using elastic for bands instead of trying to fuss with clasps and such...the colors are so lovely together as well!

I really love how this turned out, more like a bracelet than a traditional watch strap. It would look really dressy with some sparkly crystals. ( I love sparkle, lol.)
