I've been sewing for quite some time now, but Ive learned everything by myself with the help of books and internet and therefore my skills weren't that good. But now my mom went to a sewing class and because she is friends with the teacher they agreed i could come along for free to learn some stuff. I thought Ill just visit them and observe and ask questions, but I actually got to sew a dress while having a real professional on hand to help me with all my qestions and problems. It was awesome! I usually have many questions and problems and end up improvising, so my clothes then turn out ok-ish, but this dress turned out perfect! The teacher helped me fit the pattern perfectly, taught me exactly how to sew facings (I usually just left that part of the sewing out and hemmed everything with bias tape Smiley ...), I leaned how to sew invisible zippers and I got to use a serger because they had one in the class. (I want one now. Why do they have to be so pricey?).

Anyway, on to the pics. This time, I'm even willing to show you the insides of the dress Cheesy

It's this burda style dress pattern, if anyone is interestd: http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/sweetheart-dress-042013

Pretty, I like the balance between sexy and cute. I'm making a dress from seersucker that is unraveling like crazy and I had gotten discouraged, but thanks to you I'm going to be brave and try using my mom's serger to finish it. Also, your dog is cute Cheesy
