I have been looking for crochet angel patterns that have a height around 12".  This angel is for a friend and will go on top of her Christmas tree.  Thank you.

I found a ton of patterns by just googling "Crochet Christmas Angel Pattern". You should be able to find what you're looking for doing that.

Here's a few, though there are tons out there.  You can easily adjust the height of these by adding to the skirt.

Lol. Last year, I made my sister a crochet angel, too... but it was the 'don't blink' angel from Dr. Who! Lol. It was most amusing to give it to her for christmas!
