Thanks so much, you all!  My grandmother was the one who taught me how to sew at 11 years old, therefor starting me on my path to craftiness...just waiting on a special baby girl to be born to give this frock to (I am an expectant aunt just waiting until October!)

This is just plain gorgeous and you are right to be proud!  A fantastic job. Both you and your late Grandmother were lucky to share like that and you are already passing on the beauty to your niece.

Great Job! I do smocking as well and there's a great website that had lots of patterns and books if your interested.

They have a wonderful magazine that has a ton of dresses and projects in it. Even for adults and boys.
You can even get some of their books from Amazon.
One book I got that is great is
Designer Smocking: For Tots to Teens
