Just got back from the quilt shop, and darn the luck, the fat quarter bundle I wanted was sold out.  I still got some really cute stuff.  I'm now brainstorming what I want to make.  It is kind of nice to be able to fabric shop before picking a project!

So I'm a bit bummed to realize that one of the projects I was considering making would take basically all the fabric from both FQ.  I had my heart set on doing a couple other things as well.  Grrr.  I think I am just going to have to forget that project in favor of being able to accomplish more of the things I wanted.

Duh, I signed up for this swap 3 days ago, totally forgot to post in this thread or bookmark it!  No wonder I was surprised to see my partner's info since I hadn't been following along.

I love when fortune smiles on me!  I am also in the fabulous zippered pouch swap.  I saw a fabric that would be awesome for my partner in that swap, but could only find it in a bundle of fat quarters.  Do I really need to buy 33 fat quarters to use 2 for a pouch?  Well.....the fabric is also perfect for my partner in this swap.  Yay, so immediate use for 6 of the 33, is good enough right??  The best part is that I was looking at this same fabric for a quilt for the upcoming baby.  Looks like I know what I'm buying today (assuming that awesome quilt shop is open on the weekends)!

I think I got to excited about this swap. I just finished making all my items. maybe I will make more and choose my favorite

As your partner all I can say is "Wow!"  You're already done? Since my Internet has been down for two days, I only learned this evening that you're my partner. Was in Tulsa earlier today and wanted to go fabric shopping, but had no clue at that point about what you might like or if I already had something that fit your likes. Phooey! And all my 50% off JoAnn coupons expired today. Luckily a new coupon starts tomorrow.  Cheesy I love excuses to go fabric shopping.

It didn't end up working out, they sold out of the FQ bundle and only had charm packs and jelly rolls left.  I ended up going a totally different direction with your fabric, kinda glad.  The original fabric had a lot going on, and wouldn't have worked as well for embellishment.

Yay for partners!  I know I'm a bit late to the partner party but it was a crazy busy weekend.  On the plus side, crazy-busy did include a trip to one quilt shop.  I'm going to hit another shop tomorrow evening before I decide on fabric for this swap.  I love it when I have an 'excuse' to hit the quilt shops!

One of my favorite quilt shops went out of business today, but while I was there this morning I found something that I've been wanting to try. At 75% off I just had to buy some - - - 3 yards worth! It's not fabric so it won't count against my fabric allotment but will be used with my two fat quarters. I love teasers. Now to re-think one of the items I was going to make.
