I received my package from TheRagingSloth the other day but was out of town and unable to post pics.  The organizers did a great job of matching us up because we unknowingly made similar trophy heads.

I mentioned in my questionnaire that I wanted a zen-like feel to my package so TRS included an om sign for bird to hold. Cute!

Unlike my trophy,  this little bird was crafted out of paper mch and intricately painted.  The feathers on the head are also very clever; I believe they are made out of thread tied around wire and then solidified with glue.

Thanks everyone for an awesome swap!

Thank you everyone! I am glad people like it and thanks to everyone for the amazing swap. All the birds were magnificent!
If anyone wants information on how to make embroidery thread feathers I have a link to a tutorial and my own findings on making them. The whole process was kind of hilarious. Does anyone else have a weird fascination with paper mache?

TRS - that is a very cool birdie! I love the idea of paper mch but hate the idea of the mess. Smiley
