I keep forgetting that an active, and beautiful crafting forum exists!  I need to spend more time here.  Much more.

Flickr HTML fail!  Here are links instead until I reorganize myself for you guys.  Smiley

OMG!  Thank you!  How did you do that by the way?  I used to be good at html but then flickr changed their html sharing settings on me... is it a right-click, view-image-location thing?

What species are the bacula from?  Are they a set of pins?

They look amazing.  I tried my hand at bone carving last year and it was incredibly hard.  It took the edge off my chisels almost immediately and I was constantly sharpening them.

They are coon baculum and right now have no finishing touches.  The finishing touch would be simple- a pin glued to the back, or a hole drilled for a necklace.  I never decided and they went in a drawer unfinished after these pics.

Wow, very special jewelry. I am wondering where you find them.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you use bacula for your jewelry?

@jamieyh : The baculum is bone found in the penis of some mammals.  I am not aware if they are commercially available.
