I am a dollar store addict so when I saw this challenge I got really excited and went a little crazy in the brain with ideas.  In fact this challenge turned out to be a real challenge for me because I had to limit myself to one idea.  I decided that since we (my boyfriend and I) were hosting a 4th of July party, decorations was the direction to go in.  I am not usually a wreath type of person but I was browsing pintreat and saw a really cool 4th of July wreath and inspiration was born.

I didn't take a picture of what I bought but the list is:

4 packages of different sized Styrofoam balls
1 twig wreath
1 string of red, white and blue stars

From my stash I used:

blue, white and red spray paint
rebar wire
silver scrapbook paper

The don't always like how things I make turn out but I am pretty proud of this one.  It is completely crazy but the 4th is all about fireworks and I think the theme is carried out in this wreath.  I had to take a picture of it not on the door because my front door isn't the greatest.

***update*** the wreath survived the party...gotta love that dollar store!

This looks great! It definitely reminds me of fireworks!  Cheesy

"I can make that!" has been the start of more misadventures than I can count Cheesy

Really fun idea!

The stars remind me of exploding fireworks and the colors will work for several holidays Cheesy

I'm not really a wreath person either, but I would TOTALLY hang this in my house, love it!

Very nice!  I love how funky and festive it looks!

This could also be a good idea for some other holidays!  Thanks for sharing!
