This is my first ever completely home made skirt! I made it with all thrifted and second hand materials.  I'm not sure what the fabric is (it's pilling a little) but since I wasn't sure how well it would turn out and I'm still practicing on improving my very basic skills, I wasn't worried about fabric type.  Tried making a lapped zipper, but it didn't work that great.  Paired it with one of my favorite on sale black blouses and my absolutely favorite fancy hat.

I used this awesome free pattern, but I lengthened it.  I used the biggest size available and it is quite fitted in the waist.

This is the best picture I have at the moment, since it won't let me post photos till I'm 10 posts in. *rolls eyes* I hope it works.

Very pretty style of skirt. Thank you for the link to the pattern.

It was super fast to sew up and I get compliments every single time I wear it, so I would defiantly recommend sewing one up for yourself.
