Oh, Dessadoll, I hope life gets better. Everything falls apart then we get to put it back together. But just think of it as excitement! yay excitement! And then when it gets boring again you can be excited for boring! Yay!And boring means you can join in the OPS again! But don't stress too much about missing a month (or 2?), we'll still be here when you get back. Take a break, take a breather.

That potholder is too cute. The hand stitching totally makes it priceless! And yes, we have those milk straws here in the US, my kids want them all the time. Different brand, though.

We do! Well, at least here in Missouri, we do. They are targeted for kids, usually with a licensed character on the packaging. I don't think I've seen a mint one, but we have vanilla, chocolate, banana, and strawberry, for sure. =)

The ones I get have a cartoon-ish looking cow on them. I know we have chocolate, strawberry, and cookies and cream flavors hanging on the milk door at Alberston's. And my friend had Vanilla at her house the other day and a few other flavors I hadn't tried, but they were not the same brand I find. I bet you could look them up online and find out where you could get some of whatever brand near you. They're getting big!

It has been a very difficult summer.  Hoping life settles down once school starts.  I will be sending my last package tomorrow, very very full.  I keep adding stuff because I feel bad for sending late  Undecided

I haven't decided if I will join September.  But I do know you will be here when I get back.  I really appreciate your friendship jexxican, and for all you do for this group.  Thanks for all the support!

Not a problem, Dessdoll. The August swap is a little slow, we're thinking because of school. I just put it up for discussion in the August thread if we need a break for September or if we all think we should just keep going. Small swaps are OK, but if you think it's getting redundant crafting for the same people and something needs to change then let me know. Let the group know! What does everyone from the July swap think?

I took August off (and you're exactly right, it's because of school).  I should be ready to go again in September but if the majority wants to skip September I'll just sit tight until Oct.  Either way is fine with me.

i received a beautiful garland of origami hearts from gamemom42 today!

she chose gorgeous colours and prints - it's just divine, and it suits our house perfectly.

(the garland is actually almost three times as long as the picture shows - i just hung it up quickly so i could take a picture!)

that total sweetie also included an embroidery hoop and some floss - exactly what a stitcher like me loves.

thank you for the lovely package, sweetie! x
