I had gotten so use to getting up having coffee and making blocks...
I have nothing to do this morning..this is really sad......

I need to finish the two quilts from last round. perhaps I will get on that at least started before the road trip. Or make a wallet or hat..

I did get my beads in order for two bags

well and wonderment

I'll probably take a little swap break after this and finish a couple quilts.  Grin

I so wanted to try the little scottie block, so this morning I made one LOL

Have no idea what I am going to do with him, but he is cute.

The only problem I had was on one section I did sew it the wrong direction and have to rip and re do.

well and wonderment

Well feel free to send him my way if you'd like.   Grin  He turned out really cute.  Was it hard?  I still haven't attempted it, since I'm off in "star land" lol.  Well actually I'm mid pinwheel & a never ending paper pieced block for Melladh...

I should just pick easy pieced stars...but I've been trying every star block I've ever been even remotely interested in & it's taking some time lol.  I'm debating another mini lone star for kbrison but I'm not sure if I've pressed the inset seams correctly.  How are you supposed to press those anyway?

I'm going to attempt the Ribbon Star next...

Because you're not exhausted enough yet? Wink Since I'm back at work now, I do "while-the-boyfriend-is-in-the-bathroom-in-the-morning"-patchwork, pinning and sowing maybe eight seams (tailor's speed sewing), then leaving ironing and trimming of said seams to after dinner. Roll Eyes I'm currently very pleased with jungrrl's starflower pattern. It's juuuuust the right difficulty level. The stars I see you doing make me want to go to bed right now, they seem like such hard work Cheesy (well, it could be the Nevada regulatory committee making me want to sleep, though historically speaking they inspire more aggressive reactions. Maybe they've worn me down.)

I know - part of me thinks I could be done in a week if I'd just pick simple ones...and then part of me thinks yeah but you might never try some of these otherwise.   Grin  I like this String Star too, but I don't think I have enough yellow & blue strips for kbrison's color scheme...I do all my sewing while my husband puts our son to sleep lol.  Sometimes I cut & pin while he is up & playing, but if I spend too much time at the table with "mommy's sewing stuff," he starts running around with all my fabric & beating things with the ruler...and then it's off to play Legos.  Smiley
