I'm not so into the quilting part as the putting tops together part...  Wink

Not sure if you have something like this near you carolmb, but there is a quilt shop up here that offers longarm lessons and then you can rent time on the longarm machines once you have taken a class.  I like it soooo much better. Smiley

Yeah I'm excited for the finished product of my sashiko quilt but I have a feeling I'll be cursing that one while I'm doing it.   Grin

I use a combination of spray basting and pins...I really don't like the quilting part...yet when I get done, I actually realize I did sort of like it... Grin

I prefer the put together part the best...that is why I have about 30 quilts in WIPS...I started two more this weekend...after I promised myself I would not until I actually quilted a few that I have in a box...I did price out having it done...at $200 each, there is no way I could afford it! We have a "rentalongarm" service here but I really don't like the shop owner...

donniesgirl--do you want us to cut the excess fabric underneath the circle on your blocks?  I don't recall doing that in the last round...I was just re-reading the pattern (which I guess I did not do last round...shame on me...)...

I am getting ready to send but I can cut off the fabric in no time... Grin

Someone else asked me this.  If you want to, that would be great, but not necessary.  I will probably go back & trim them all though.

Now, Always, you know you're going to love making that crumb quilt! Want me to send you some more pieced starter segments??? Thought I'd use the quarter circles from Donniegirl's quilt to do that, too. Maybe we need to start a Crumb quilt craftalong.  Grin

My FINISHED crumb block segments are only 4-6" square. Starter pieces may only be 1" or 2" and are definitely not square! I don't know how it might work as a swap, but a craftalong would be easy enough. If you want to make a Crumb quilt, just let me know and I'll send you a starter kit, too. (After all I already have pieces from your scrap bag! Cheesy)
