Hi guys!  Sorry I have been missing.  I had some issues, and was in the hospital and dealing with some junk.  I have bought all my fabric, and I will be working on blocks starting Monday!

I've gotten a big ass gum infection, with a fever and penicillin... -.- (at least the pain killers started to work again) Hopefully I'll be on my feet soon, but I've been out of it pretty much since Thursday. Just wanted to let you guys know. This may definitely put me at a risk of running late in the end, as I've lost days of crafting, but I'm still hoping. If I do run late, you can trust me to carry through as soon as I'm able. Since I also have chronic stomach issues, I might not be able to function properly until the penicillin cure is over, and/or I'm able to eat solids again. Or open my mouth enough to use an actual spoon. :-| FML.

I took a mini break to do some altered puzzle pieces for another unicorn zombie apocalypse.  I plan on starting up quilt blocks again this week.  Smiley

Well I have now tried three different types of basting. And guess what? You will never guess it...

I don't like any of them LOL. Just pinning kills my back, since I have to do it on the floor.
Spray basting just seems to not hold as well as I would like.
Now hand basting with the boards on the kitchen table. My fingers hurt and I am not even half way done, at least I can say my back is not killing me yet.

If I didnt enjoy quilting them myself I would really think about sending them out to a long arm person LOL

Well no one ever said all things were enjoyable....

I will get at least this one basted today. The other one well perhaps next weekend, my fingers might be well by then. And yes I am using thimbles. Two different types. The reg metal and the little sticky pad type. Not really helping much LOL

ohhh okay that is my update/rant for today.

well and wonderment

The pains we suffer through for our crafts Wink I'm just happy there's turned up a long arm service in this country now, I don't think there's been one here before. I might just check what the price will be for sending it away since I don't have the room to do it well myself. But I suspect it might be insanely costly. Things often are here. Cheesy (or rather I guess we never want to pay what we'd require as pay for our own time)
