Hello everyone,

I have never done crafting at home. This is my first attempt so apologies if the questions sound little dumb.

I have a 5 year old with special needs. I am trying to teach him clock but it is not working well so far. While searching on the web, I came across http://www.especialneeds.com/aba-and-autism-clocks-and-teaching-time-teaching-hands-clock.html. It is a fabulous concept and would love to buy it but item price+shipping cost is little too much for my taste.

I have Christmas Tree Shops and Michaels close to me, so thought would get the material needed and will make similar LARGE clock. I was wondering if anybody knows, where do I buy those rather long clock hands with bubbles? If they are not available, where can I buy long clock hands and what can I use to make these bubbles, something really lightweight and can be glued together with crazy glue.

I will be using (Spray) paint to make one color clock and I would like arm and the numbers to glow in the night (so that I can hang this clock in his room). Any suggestions in those regards are welcome.

Thanks a million in advance.

Plastic canvas!!! OMG!!! you could glue pretty paper to plastic canvas that you cut to shape.  As for glowing, cover it in some glow paint. Its sooo easy to redo a clock. I hope it works out beautifully! Post a pic when your done
