My friend is a huge Sailor Moon fan and got tickets to go to a Sailor Moon convention in NY. She recruited me to make a Black Lady costume for her! I finished the costume yesterday and the convention was today!

I made the blouse from scratch using McCall's pattern #6650 as a guide. I changed it up/altered it a lot to fit her better. I made the collar and cuffs without a pattern. She had bought a black BCBG dress for me to reconstruct. I cut the top of the bust off, made a new sweetheart neckline, added darts down the front, and cut slits up the sides!

I added cute trim to the bustline! She helped me hand sew the snaps and beads on.

I lined the dress with pink fabric and also added flowy blue godets!

Hopefully there will be lots more pics soon! They might end up on my Facebook https://www.facebook.com/meghan.riggles/media_set?set=a.10200139391235514.1073741833.1472830322&type=1

Very cool!  Did you walk around in those shoes all day?

Haha, it wasn't me who went to the convention. It was my friend and I think she took an extra pair of shoes to wear! I hope she did! Those heels are not easy on the feet!
