I made this last week to give away as a gift and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I used a gluegun to secure the toy octopus to the inside of the jar before pouring in the gel wax. I made sure to put it as close to the bottom as possible, just in case the candle stops burning properly once it reaches the head which was too big and thick to keep away from the wick.

I burned it first to make sure it was working properly. This was the first gel candle that I'd made so I really hope that it works out okay! Even if it doesn't I think she'll appreciate the thought behind it. She thought it was really awesome when she saw it.
