I recently participated in round 3 of the Quilt Block swap and this time around I asked for the Friendship Star pattern with a black background and colorful stars.  Our friend's daughter is graduating high school this month and I wanted the squares for a quilt for her.  Once they had arrived, I found out what her favorite color was to use in the border and off I went.

When I had the squares together and only 1/2 the border on I almost quit because I didn't like how it was turning out but once I had the rest of the border on I was happy with it.

I gave it to Alyssa on Tuesday and she loved it, which made me very happy.

I even personalized it - I told her I did this so that if she didn't like it, she couldn't give it away  Cheesy

It turned out beautifully. I really like the kind of simple quilting you choose.  It and the bright border really highlights the stars.

She's going to school in New Zealand in September and said she's taking it with her so I guess she likes it   Grin
